    Abstract: The grid type static var generator (SVG) has voltage source characteristics and the ability to independently build voltage, demonstrating unique advantages in grid control of new energy stations. The article introduces the control characteristics of grid type SVG, analyzes the demand for reactive power support in new energy stations, and proposes a reactive power support strategy for grid type SVG in new energy stations, aiming to enhance the voltage stability and system resilience of new energy stations and ensure the safe operation of new power systems.
